Celery Juice

Tools

Blender:

I use the Kitchen Aid Proline Blender that is pictured with this blog and I absolutely LOVE it for all my cooking and blending needs.

Mesh/Strainer:

I use this little metal one so I don’t have any waste from this process. If you buy the cheese cloth you have to continue repurchasing and throwing them away.

(PS if you purchase these tools from Amazon by clicking through my link you will pay the same price as you always do on Amazon but I get a tiny portion of the sale! Thank you for supporting For Goodness Seyks by clicking through our links to purchase!)

Celery Juice

Celery Juice Benefits

Celery juice compliments the keto diet very well. Check out my blog on a Vegan Keto Diet!

The originator of the Celery Juice Movement is Anthony William. Many people are talking about the great benefits of consuming celery regularly:

+ Anti-inflammatory properties:

  • + This research study shows the anti-inflammatory effects come from the phytosterol and polar substances.
  • + These properties can aid acid reflux, bloating, IBS, acne, eczema, and other inflammation issues in the body.

+ Celery is high in vitamin C and K which promote immune system health, and general bone and heart health, respectively.

+ Liver detoxification is a benefit of celery juice and it has multiplying benefits from that because your liver filters toxins from your body.

+ Celery has high levels of magnesium, phthalides, and potassium.

  • + Magnesium and potassium are two nutrients that you need to be sure to get enough of on the keto diet, which makes celery juice a great compliment to this way of eating.

+ Celery juice is cancer FIGHTING and preventative because it has bioactive flavonoids.

+ Celery is naturally rich in vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, folate, molybdenum, and fiber if you keep that fiber instead of discarding it.

+ This water-loaded vegetable replaces lost electrolytes in the body.

+ Celery juice is a natural alkaline-forming food so it helps you balance your pH levels! If your pH level is too acidic it can stimulate cancer cell growth.

+ Celery juice helps you poop and prevents constipation.

+ The cleansing properties of celery juice improve kidney function.

+ Since Hippocrates celery juice has been used to treat nervous and anxiety disorders based on its calming properties.

+ Celery juice purifies your blood.

+ “Celery contains a particular compound called coumarins which promotes the activity of white blood cells and assists the vascular system. This helps the blood flow, reduces blood pressure and purifies the bloodstream.
The sodium in celery also maintains the fluidity of the blood and lymph fluids, preventing them from becoming too thick. The Vitamin A, C, magnesium and iron in celery juice helps to nourish and rebuild red blood cells and is beneficial for people with rheumatism, high blood pressure, arthritis, and anemia.” – Ingrid DeHart

Seyka’s Celery Juice Experience

My personal experience with celery juice has been wonderful. I didn’t expect to like it because I generally don’t love celery. However, from the first day I was in love! My energy was higher, my mind more focused, and I felt so fresh and healthy.

The blender I use and LOVE is the Kitchen Aid Proline Blender and I used a no-waste metal strainer like this one.

Please let me know what you think of celery juice if you try it and if it brings you more goodness!

Celery Juice
Celery juice is easy to make and so great for your body. Blend it, filter it, drink it, and let your body filter only that juice for at least a half hour before eating anything else. When you first start use only about half of a celery bunch. You can slowly increase the amount to two bunches to yourself once your stomach has gotten use to it. Most people will have you discard the fiber that is filtered out. I like to drink it with water later on in the day to increase the benefits of the celery juice. It can also be used in recipes to add some flavor and texture.
