abillionveg – A Vegan Meal Review Platform
abillionveg, or abv, is a meal review platform app that anyone can download for free. abv sets itself apart by being a dish and product rating platform instead of a restaurant and shop reviewing site. abv helps people discover plant-based and cruelty-free options, whether that’s a vegan dish at a restaurant, or a cruelty-free cosmetics product (coming soon!). abv is not an editorial site, instead they have focused on creating a platform that’s a home for all of our voices and experiences. You can review pretty much anything you want as long as it’s vegan, from any restaurant or store on the planet. They just broke through 25,000 reviews this April in across 69 countries!

abillionveg’s Long Term Vision
abv’s focus is on how to take those meal reviews and use them to guide businesses, to create more plant-based options, in order to shift their menus from 95% or more animal-based, to 20-30% or more plant-based. In the short time abv has been around they’ve sent more than 10,000 emails to businesses around the world with their reviews, reviews from their competition, and insights on how they can improve. abv wants to give businesses relevant helpful feedback to have and the confidence that if they shift their menus to become more plant-based, the vegan community will be there to support them with more customers!
abillionveg is Supporting Important Causes
abv also supports animal rescue. For kids, and people of any age, visiting sanctuaries and holding a duck or chicken for the first time, or really understanding how milk is made can be a very transformative experience in understanding animal welfare. The role of sanctuaries in communities is invaluable. So abv supports some really small and some really big organizations around the world that are making a profound impact on their communities such as Mercy for Animals, which has an international presence, and Sea Shepherd who is defending marine life.
How to use abillionveg
All you have to do is enjoy something vegan, take a photo and post a quick review, and that simple but inspiring act of kindness raises $1 for animal rescue. We couldn’t think of a better way to help more people make the connection between what’s on their plate and the life that is impacted.
